Transparent scoring

How we score articles

Every generated article gets an on-page SEO score from 0–100 before we accept it. We only ship drafts that hit 100/100 against this checklist.

Accept gate

100

/ 100

Drafts below 100 are rejected and regenerated. Nothing ships as “good enough.”

What the score is

A fast, deterministic on-page hygiene + CTR checklist. It runs on the finished HTML (title, meta, headings, links, images) with pure string and regex rules, no extra AI call. It answers: “Is this draft structurally ready to publish?”

What the score is not

  • Not a prediction that you will rank #1
  • Not a model of Google's full ranking systems (backlinks, E-E-A-T, engagement, Information Gain, etc.)
  • Not a magic keyword-density target. Google does not use "optimal density"
  • Not a preferred word count. Google's own guidance says they have none; we only use length as a thin-content floor for your campaign

Weighted checklist

How the number is built

Each factor is scored 0–100, then combined with fixed weights that favor documented relevance and linking signals over outdated myths.

Keyword placement

16%

Topic appears in the title, H1, first ~100 words, and at least one H2. Relevance fundamentals, not density chasing.

Title quality

14%

Descriptive title with the topic near the front, roughly 30–60 characters for typical SERP display.

Heading structure

12%

Exactly one H1, clear H2 sections, and supporting H3s so the page is easy to scan and crawl.

Internal links

12%

About 3–5 useful links per 1,000 words to related pages on your site (capped so long posts aren't link-stuffed).

Meta description

8%

Compelling ~120–160 character snippet with the topic. Helps CTR; Google may rewrite it.

Image alt text

8%

Descriptive alts on images so search engines and assistive tech understand the media.

Keyword density

8%

Soft natural band (~0.3–1.5%) plus anti-stuffing above ~2%. Density itself is not a Google ranking factor.

External citations

7%

A few authoritative outbound links when claims benefit from sourcing.

Word count band

6%

Campaign depth floor (default 1,200–1,800 words). Thin-content check only. Google has no preferred word count.

Readability

5%

Light sentence-length heuristic for readable prose. UX hygiene, not a ranking claim.

Images

4%

Some illustrative media present. Alt text carries more SEO weight than raw image count.

Grounded in public SEO guidance

Weights and checks follow public best practice from Google Search Central (helpful, people-first content; title links; snippets) and on-page checklists from sources like Ahrefs: topic in title/H1/intro, one H1, useful internal links, descriptive image alts. We deliberately downweight keyword density and raw length because they are weak or non-factors as ranking inputs.

Accept gate

After writing and post-processing (images, links), we re-score the final HTML. Drafts below 100 are rejected and regenerated (with feedback) instead of being queued as “good enough.” Hover the score in the dashboard for a short summary of what we measure.
